But a White House official said Saturday that the Trump administration is working with allies in the Senate on a proposal that would create a path to citizenship for an estimated 1.8 million people who were brought to the country illegally as children, and that would clear the backlog of nearly 4 million sponsored relatives who currently are waiting for green cards.

So we have gone from 800,000 DACA recipient to 1.6 million plus 4 million sponsored relatives plus 1.2 million immigrants a year for ten years. Why do I bother to vote?

Why do we need to allow one million more people in? At what point are we full?

Any DACA recipient should count against the 1 million.

Democrats will NEVER accept a wall or any type of real border security no matter what type of amnesty is proposed. I have faith in Trump. He won’t sell out. He just wants to get Dems on record saying NO even with generous amnesty.

the actual numbers for last few years are roughly:

400,000 legal immigrants per year
600,000 illegals who become legal per year

Mexican net immigration ( legal and illegal ) is slightly negative and has been for about 5 years.

Trump needs to announce that he is going to bring in a few million at-risk African refugees to the US.

The libs will love the idea.

The commotion will be epic when he explains that he means, white south Africans....who really are in danger.

Depends on where the million come from, doesn’t it? And maybe with a merit-based immigration program the nation would benefit.

No

A complete moratorium on all immigration.

For 20 years.

If he gives away the country, he won’t get re-elected, not that it would matter.

Legal immigration is as much a problem as illegal immigration, we are still losing our country.

Everything I hear is just backsliding. NO IMMIGRATION is the point to start at, not 1Million.

Nullify the 1965 Immigration act
Ban birthright citizenship
No more immigrants, legal or illegal from shitholes
No benefits and no EITC payments to non-citizens
And.....absolutely no amnesty

I understand the possible need for bipartisanship because lame arse McConnell will not use the 51 vote option, but come on, stop bending and twisting your promise to seriously curtail this long-standing illegal immigration issue, Trump.

No. People must assimilate. We need at least a 10 year moratorium.

From this we can see democrats have been importing about a million foreign legal immigrants per year to the USA .

https://cis.org/sites/cis.org/files/camarota-surge-f5.png

1. almost all of these immigrants vote for democrats.
2. this was from 2014 . add a few million foreign immigrants and immigrants are now 14% of the population.

3. add 13% black and democrats are starting with a 27% advantage. Add the biased media and the brainwashed white liberals and it's a miracle Trump won.
4. Now these immigrants have 20 million USA born children who are almost all non-white and vote or will vote for democrats.

5. Demographics didn't magically change. Democrats planned this and made it law in 1965 with their 1965 immigration act chain migration and all. It was a diabolical plan to change the demographics of the USA to turn the USA into a socialist state. this has worked perfectly in states like california which used to be conservative but is now liberal .
6. This 2020 election is the last chance we will have to elect a non-democrat president because of the planned changing demographics.

7.All this is not even counting the illegals who may double all these numbers.

Up to 50% of ALL jobs will be replaced by automation within the next 20 years.

But 90% of jobs in areas immigrants typically fill: crop-picking, housekeeping, meat processing, etc., will be replaced by automation.

Every foreigner we bring in whose skills are obsolete will go on welfare for life. Keep in mind that most of the Latinos and Somalis/Eritreans who pick crops/work in meat plants are ILLITERATE. In their OWN language, let alone the English they don't speak.

We DON"T NEED more immigration. Offer ZERO, Mr. President. A 20-year break while America automates.

Anything agreed to for the next ten years, is subject to revision every year. It is possible for Republicans to skunk Democrats for a change - but it always depends on which way elections go.

I guess Trump is still looking for a way to cajole wall funding and an end to chain migration - which are difficult strategic objectives.

It won’t happen.

It’s a throw away.

Only two things happen in the next 30 days:

1. Dems take the currently on the table but, a few items are removed or adjusted
2. They refuse a deal all together.

Either way, we win as leaders on this issue.

They can either look incompetent and late (They couldnt get this done, ever amd onlu came along begrudgingly or just become a laughing stock as obstructionists....
