Good he’s fighting back against this. Chris Wallace on Fox, for example, was foaming at the mouth that the Trump Admin didn’t do anything about the “allegations” against Porter.
From my vantage point, Porter’s Mormonism alone is already cause for concern...but I don’t expect everyone to exercise discernment in this area.
