One step that needs to be taken immediately is to pass mandatory death penalty laws for anyone involved in a setup shooting against police officers, whether or not an officer is killed or injured. Officers who respond to calls, which they do repeatedly every day, should not have to worry about walking into a staged trap.
If I thought that would help, I'd be 100% for it, but maniacs arent deterred and don't think rationally. Obama and his media flunkies have made cop killing a cause celebre and a rallying cry for the Social Justice Warriors who want to be the next Mumia or Leonard Peltier. A bell cannot be unrung.
