Overall, during 2017, the US economy added over 2 million full-time jobs with benefits, says the Bureau of Labor Statistics

Half true. The BLS measures employment growth contributed by establishments that expand or start up. It does not count which ones offer benefits and which don't. Just under 2.1 million jobs were created in 2017. How many came with benefits is anyone's guess.
