This is a huge fear to the dems on many levels. There are going to be a lot of court cases involving dems. We need to make sure that the appeals courts have all of the slots filled with conservatives as early as possible.

At first blush, I think that every appeals court could become conservative if Congress would get their act in gear.

Even a rules change of 48 hrs instead of 72 hrs would speed things up and give very little space for the dems to whine.

Glad you are monitoring this. It has been on the top of my mind. It’s like investing in the future.

I think having the right judges is the difference between peace and Civil War 2 the next time a Democrat gets power. You could clearly see the rulings tipping towards allowing absolute power in the Executive Branch with Obama, and it would have gone full-tilt with Hillary. And with a Leftist dictator in power in DC, it’s safe to say that some states, like Texas, OK, and others, would openly defy DC, hence CW2

If Trump can get enough judges installed before the Dems are able to stop him, particularly at the upper levels, that day is delayed...maybe for decades.

Mitch is in a unique position in the history of America and the world. He personally holds the keys to bringing our nation back from the tipping point by becoming a statesman and either going back to the Mr Smith filibuster rules or going nuclear by removing the filibuster rule completely.

His desire to maintain the status quo (seen as the most positive environment - comity) where we show up, pontificate, compromise (always to the left) slap each other on the back like football players after a game, go to sponsored parties, accept (graciously) any and all contributions and pretend the people love us (for the games we play) must end.

He will go down in history over his actions of the next 365 days. Either as the greatest enabler of those desiring the destruction of America, or as the modern Cincinnatus, a statesman who was a giant among men, who upon seeing the light took off the gloves and did battle with the forces of the left a worldwide tyranny to restore the Republic under the Constitution and the rule of law!

WOW, Mitch, Mitchy the Kid, Mitch ‘I am not a post turtle’, Mitch the statesman, YOU CAN DO THIS! Help us loyal Americans help you! We will stand beside you and have your back! Stand up for America, stand with the President ( you heard his SOTU address giving YOU the credit for his success) he is not a selfish man!

Yes, YOU Senator Mitch McConnell stand at the fork in the road, will you go the way of the crowd? Or, will YOU take the path less travelled by? I know that this is who you truly wish to be and will be praying that The God of all creation will guide you in this hour of need for our nation and the nation’s of the world.

Patience my foot

He is way behind schedule and the opportunity will be lost , perhaps forever, if the Dems win Congress in a mere 9 months from now.

Suit yourself, but I have confidence in the man, and believe he’s moving the process along about as fast as it can be moved.

Of course sooner is better, but my whining about it won’t get ‘em confirmed a moment quicker.

As for the midterms, I think the Dhimmis are gonna have their asses handed to ‘em.

Does President Trump has his power to make recess appointments? If Congress is truly supporting him, they need to give him this ability back!

Recess appointments serve for only a limited time. So aren’t long term.

Every president has the power to appoint during a recess, but the congress has to declare themselves in recess, which they haven’t done. They keep themselves in pro-forma session.

I would prefer that judges not be recess appointed. The solution is to reduced the debate time from 30 hours to something reasonable, like 8 hours. But that’s not going to happen with only 51 seats and the moderate republicans who like to thwart conservative nominees, while fast-tracking liberal ones.
