I want limits on anyone that gets paid by taxpayers. There are enough qualified people outside of government to come and take all of these roles. That should go for FBI/CIA and Congress. They are not indispensable.
Every US government office, from defense to Social Security, should have a 10 year expiry date. Yes, I know Congress every year authorizes the budget, which is supposed to be a check on out-of-control government, but every agency should need to be specifically reauthorized in its legal role every year. Its NOT the permanence of Congressmen that's the problem - its the permanence of the bureaucracy and the apparatchiks.
