El wrongo. Any state that joins the union must adhere to the constitution and the premise that federal law reigns supreme. If cal ignores federal law it might as well bring back slavery.

GIAfornia already has slavery. It has enslaved the working, tax-paying citizens via taxation and the sanctuary state laws to benefit the illegal alien invaders.
In the past, they even tried to use the State Franchise Tax Board as a means of pursuit of "runaway" tax payers who retired out of state...claiming their pensions, earned in GIAfornia, should be subject to state income taxes. While they failed, it is only a matter of time before they institute some sort of exit tax on their slaves who try to run away.
