Their plan is simple, keep the race low profile. Push their liberal base their their wacko blogs and Twitter feeds and then pick off a seat or two in low turnout affairs.
Turnout has been very, very low. In the race we lost in Wisconsin, it was 12%. In the race we lost in Missouri it was 15%.
After they pick off a seat, then they run to the media to paint a picture of a wave for 2018.
Theyll compare 2016 to the Special and say, See there was a 53% swing against Trump. Never mind that hardly anyone voted.
When they pour money and attention on a race, and turnout is high, they lose. (See Georgia and Montana for examples.)
So theyve switched to this strategy.
We need to turn out our people.
Anyone who lives in these races, now is the time to mobilize your friends, family and associates.
This is where we can make a direct difference as Freepers.
There was a Freepers from Missouri yesterday who mentioned that he lived in Jefferson County, and had no idea that a race was on the ballot.
The media is helping the rats here. We need to fight back.
Hacking Democracy - The Hack
I agree about the 17th Amendment, but These races are all State Legislative elections, so the 17th amendment wouldnt really apply here.
Turnout is of primary importance in these.
MSN just reported that the dems flipped a house seat in Missouri last night. The reporter doubtlessly had trouble typing with one hand while fondling himself with the other.
That’s okay we won 3 out 4 special elections 2 weeks ago but guess what the MSM media crowed about...just the one that the Dems won!
Yeah, I got a little bit frisky. That was one of my first posts today and I remembered that 17A did not apply after I posted.
I don’t think it’s that they’ve switched strategy, so much as the Dems have nearly as much debt as their cash reserves. GOP can such at times, but the RNC has raised twice the amount of donations during the last year.
Local candidates will have to win on a shoestring, unless Uncle George comes through for all of them.
Hasn’t Minnesota been trending red in state races?
That is very devious of the left. Hope conservative media can get the word out.
Regarding Minnesota Senate District 53, this seat was held by a Dem who was forced to resign because of sexual harassment. The GOP has a good candidate running but I wouldn’t be surprised to see this district stay Dem. They maintain a voter ID advantage here in the southeast suburbs of St Paul.
Regarding House District 23B, this seat should remain GOP. it’s a GOP district where the incumbent was also forced to resign because of sexual harassment. The GOP did have a bit of a rough primary a couple of weeks ago.
Thanks for posting these upcoming Special Elections.
Its absurd that the Dems have picked off ANY red/Repub seats, as they have.
The RNC coffers are running over. Where are the tv/social media/radio ads and ground games?
Is the word getting out to our base in this area that they need to show up and vote?
