The children of the Indian hotel workers often are local high school valedictorians. They are achievers and often enter the tech fields and will convert to conservatism.
Those less able will never convert and be more likely to remain dependent, of course.

People with these useless degrees are the farm teams for education and government jobs.
Agree. End the H1B programs once and for all. We are a ‘Christian” country. Hindus and Muslim change the culture.
Probably as simple as caste differences; the Indians stealing tech jobs are from a higher caste than the merchant-types (like the one getting pushed around by Michael Brown before the cop shot him).
You don’t even have to go that far (the religious angle); the simple truth is American tech workers have been idled by the flood of cheap tech workers. As Hispanic braceros are our replacement underclass, Asians are our replacement middle class. It is no accident that black unemployment fell when illegals were dealt with; the same would happen with white unemployment if the spigot of Asian white-collar workers was turned off. It isn’t just tech; I see Asians (imported ones, not native-born) increasingly in financial fields now.
