House Speaker Paul D. Ryan said Tuesday that hell only allow the House to vote on an immigration bill President Trump will sign, effectively ruling out several bipartisan plans that fall short on border security.
Were not going to bring immigration legislation through that the president doesnt support, Mr. Ryan said when asked about the path forward.
Congress has less than four weeks until the March 5 phaseout deadline Mr. Trump set for the Obama-era DACA deportation amnesty, which is currently protecting nearly 700,000 illegal immigrant Dreamers.

I know there are a lot of Freepers who dislike Ryan, but I would bet they're going to like his replacement even less.
Ryan has come through in the clutch every time since Trump has been President.

Good. This is the way it should work.

Someone by my guess has some pretty good stuff on him—probably both the Swamp and the Trump team at this point.
To: jazusamo
Dems are completely boxed in.
They’re not going to get full amnesty and if they don’t support Trump’s deal then the Nightmares go home.
To: jazusamo
Thus the value of Trump’s public rejection of anything that does not fund the wall and end chain migration.

Glad that Ryan stepped up here and did this.
Because the whole Dem strategy was to pass one of these soft “bipartisan” bills in the House, then use wall-to-wall Big Media hysteria to try to intimidate Senate Republicans and Trump into passing it.
Now, the ground rules are clear, there will be no Dem-Media distractions.
Include Wall funding, and get rid of Chain Migration and the Diversity Lottery, or the DACA kids go home - and the Dems wind up wearing it this fall.
Take it or leave it, Dems. America will survive either way, but the Dem’s votes this November might not.
