I was having knee pain and it took all of 1 week to get a MRI. In England I could have gotten one in 2 years.
Most of those who want single payer think it is the same thing as BlueCross/BlueShield except the government pays the bill. BC/BS has a contractual obligation to provide health care. Government paid health care has a budget. There is a difference.
That’s not a bug, that’s a feature! If they don’t do diagnosis for two years, you either get better on your own or you die, either of which makes diagnosis way easier and saves money on treatment!
