NEW YORK (WABC) -- Metro-North conductor Tom Moran left Manhattan Supreme Court with his wife after assault charges were dismissed Monday morning.
Moran was charged with assaulting Metro-North police officers in Grand Central Terminal in August, after asking them to assist him in managing a drunk and disorderly passenger.
He said the officers refused and apparently didn't appreciate his gesture of frustration.
Prosecutors ultimately dropped the charges after surveillance camera video contradicted the officers' claims. The video apparently shows the officers attacking Moran.

dressed in black costumes these overpaid underworked govt employees are the height of lazy arrogance. They are incompetant to boot
Slimes. Be suspicious of any incident where the body cams where turned off. Of they could have gotten hold of the security cam I’ve no doubt the video would have disappeared here’s a case where have 5 transit police lying or supporting a lie. That’s quite a statistical indication of the honesty of our LE.
More reason why people are losing trust in the police.
Rank-and-file. Can’t palm this one off on management and politicians.
They went all the way to trial knowing their video busted their lies. You know they would have been reading the conductor the riot act, overcharging him, telling him tales of a certainty of years and years of prison, etc. To hell with them all, the corrupt SOBs.
The police were just doing their jobs, following standard procedure. There is no evidence of any policeman violating a citizens rights.

Exactly. Not a single cop would come forward to admit the truth. All the cops involved should be charged with assault and battery under color of authority, and imprisoned for a minimum of ten years. At least. And sued in civil court for all they have. Swamp exists in law enforcement.
Prosecutors ultimately dropped the charges after surveillance camera video contradicted the officers' claims.
This is why Police unions fight body cams so hard.
