Sunday Talks: Trey Gowdy Commiserates With Margaret Brennan…

Posted on

After announcing an intent to retire from congress & find a role for himself within the Justice System, congressman Trey Gowdy waxes philosophically about politics having  infected the highest ranks of that system.  In this role Gowdy is attempting to forward-position himself as the heir apparent to Robert Mueller. The positioning is transparent: The Institutions Must Be saved.

Gowdy has, as a survival instinct, split himself away from accepting what those institutions represent today – and how they have been manipulated. Instead Mr. Gowdy replaces current reality by projecting his vision of the institutional intent as formed by his own moral compass. Unfortunately, corruption is fully metastasized within the upper-ranks.  Curative approaches will not work; culling is needed.

[...]

Hopefully, in time, Gowdy will realize the err in his view.  It’s not his fault, he’s never had a father role and he’s latching on to institutions as stability mechanisms.

A very well-centered kitchen counsel appears to know they need to keep wobbly Gowdy away from the most important discussions and plans.

I heard this months ago, and was surprised that more wasn't made of it.

My guess: Susan Rice was behind the additional requests. She's been a major Obama hatchet=woman.

He has the POWER to keep his mouth shut, now that he is leaving, and NOT giving aid and comfort to the DEMS/this nbation’s sworn enemies, but he hasn’t done that.

I heard John Bolton on Fox last month say he only unmasked 2 or 3 names..in 18 months...Powers did over 200 in a year..with most of those coming in mid to late 2016

This has been known for some time. But no harm in repeating it again since the public is beginning to connect the dots.

The fact that others were making unmasking requests in her name just shows that they had a guilty mind. They were up to no good.

One important question is who made those requests? I don’t think it was Rice because there are several requests by Rice herself. She would have used her own name. Same with anyone else who had the ability to request unmasking. My suspicion is that it was Obama. I can’t imagine that anyone else would have the balls to simply make a request in someone else’s name. And if that could be proven, then that means that Obama was involved in this abuse of power. Not that I doubted it to begin with, but you’ve got to have proof.

For the last time, it isn’t Gowdy’s job to “take scalps” as you espouse. That is the job within the FBI and DOJ. And oh might I add while Gowdy uncovered crimes it was occurring under a Democratic White House, a Democrat DOJ, a Democrat FBI and a little morsel you fail to mention all the crime players in place today were in power and in place during his investigations.

But wait a minute, all that evidence unearthed by Gowdy proving crimes that were committed didn’t magically vanish;it’s still there. It’s THIS ADMINISTRATION’S DOJ that’s on the hook. Not Gowdy, not Issa, not Congress but this DOJ.

As Jim Noble eloquently put it,
“Trey Gowdy cannot:
1) Convene a Grand Jury
2) Present Evidence to It
3) Issue an Indictment
4) Present charges to Federal or State Court
5) Plead those charges in front of a jury
6) Convict anyone of anything
7) Pass a sentence or imprison anyone.

NOW. WTF exactly were you expecting the dude to do?”

Since I NEVER, NOT ONCE post that he should "take scalps", nor any of the other stupid twaddle you have repeatedly attempted to pin on me, it is YOU, who need to understand what the AG can and can't/should/shouldn't do.

Gowdy's statement, last week, was SWAMP TALK.

Before that, going back many years, he's just been all talk.

Why don't you stick to the thread's topic and stop becoming an hysteric, every time you happen upon one of my posts?

I'm not the ONLY one posting what I did, on this thread, yet you haven't posted to any of the other posters, as you replied to mine.

That quote was misappropriated to you and was meant for another. However if you continue to hop from thread to thread trashing Gowdy I’ll be right there setting the record straight on whose responsibility it is to indict and the overwhelming evidence unearthed by Gowdy to see.

There are many points in which our President has made swamp talk statements (ie DACA) of which you and other populists convienently overlook citing some 4d extraterrestrial, super human, upside down chess; willing to grant any and all doubts to our President citing some long game. That is fair and for most the time I agree. However when it comes to Gowdy those same emotionally driven populists won’t grant an iota of a benefit to a successful Congressman who makes statements for a reason (long game here again). He wasn’t the most successful federal prosecutor in history for no reason at all.

Populists have a difficult time assigning responsibility where it lies out of fear it may weaken the cause. So they distract with a “lookie over here” head fake making one almost forget constitutional roles and responsibility. Any an all investigations by Gowdy are now in the hands of THIS ADMINISTRATION’S DOJ. Yes our President Donald Trump and his Atty Gen Jeff Sessions. Now if assigning that responsibility is too difficult because it may cast a doubt in the populist movement as it would critique our very own President as well then wah

Your ignorance of Constitutional roles and responsibilities is completely evident for all to see in your statement “he’s been all talk.” That’s his job, to talk, to uncover crimes, to provide oversight and take his case before cameras and the media in the hopes of applying pressure to our DOJ to bring charges. Yet, this “talk” you espouse adnausem you take issue with. Maybe if you wrote letters to the WH on the plethora of crimes his “talk” has unearthed it’d get this administration off its a@@ to either fire its AG or press for indictments. But no, it’s much easier to just to ignorantly yelp as populists do instead of placing their frustrations squarely where it belongs. It’s easy to do that because “for the cause” you’re never wrong.

Oh was it...REALLY?

Are you stalking me, reading ALL of my posts, on every single thread I happen to post to, now? If not, then your entire premise stinks and IF you ARE doing that, then you are breaking FR's TOS! And your threat, is also against the rules rules here.

Oh gee...it's called "THE ART OF THE DEAL"! Trump didn't mouth "SWAMP TALK", re DACA!

I'm a CONSERVATIVE, hardly a "populist", know and understand the Constitution, but go ahead, bloviate, claim that you are the superior, Cotton Mather hell fire throwing avenging angel and I'll just laugh AT you and your narcissistic, self congratulatory posts.

Yes, THREAT! Go read your post.

Either you don't have a good memory, or you need to learn how to write in a clear, concise way, which leaves no ambiguity/room for interpretation.

Do you or don't you want 3/4ths of something you want, whilst NOT giving away all THAT much?

First you complain about what can or can't be done and now you want 100% of what you want or nothing. Are you really just a closet DEM ?

And shouldn’t there be a signature to compare somewhere? Can you just pick up a phone, tell them your name and the name of the person you want unmasked, and BAM! It’s done?
There has to be some kind of real record somewhere. Why haven’t they been dug up? Should be able to just put her name in a computer somewhere and see everything she signed. Records are kept like that in every single public company but our government is run that slip shod?
