“Which government is stupider, France, Canada, or California?”

Why blame the governments? There’s an old saying about people getting the government they deserve. These developments don’t happen in a vacuum. Some may object, but most don’t want to offend their masters.

Everywhere, the pattern is the same. Rural and suburban voters are conservative, but they are outnumbered by urban voters, if only by a slim margin and only most of the time, and only due to voter fraud. So who can blame Californians or Frenchmen or Canadians for the state of their government. The smart ones are posting here, and the stupid ones want to kill the smart ones. I’d rather not insult the smart ones posting here. After all, there are cities full of stupid people who want to kill them, and then have them vote posthumously for their guys.

Freepers excepted — unless you want to own 8 years of Obama.

BTW, the Trudeau Liberals won a majority government with only 39.5% of the popular vote. IOW, 60.5% of Canadians did not want Trudeau as P.M.

Our electoral system is broken. Ironically, a lot of people voted Liberal, because they promised to fix the system. Trudeau broke that promise. When he got elected, he suddenly discovered the system worked just fine — because, hey it got the Liberals elected.
