Justice Department boss Bruce Ohr rose from obscurity when it became known that in 2016 he was embedded with Fusion GPS, compiler of the dossier on Donald Trump. Bruce’s wife Nellie H. Ohr also worked for Fusion GPS during the 2016 election, and quite possibly played a strategic role.

In the spring of 2016, Nellie came to work for Fusion GPS, and as former Naval intelligence officer J.E. Dyer notes, “she looks like an ideal hire for what Fusion GPS needed in 2016: plugged directly into the DOJ, and with a language facility in Russian.” And of course, Nellie had clout with Russian officials. In May of 2016, about the time Fusion GPS brought Nellie aboard, and a key time for the dossier, Nellie suddenly obtained an amateur radio operator’s license.
Dyer believes it significant that the cyber intrusion on the DNC email system was detected on April 29, 2016. Without getting fanciful, Dyer writes, “one can obviously think of more than one reason why the use of amateur radio for communications with certain parties might have seemed like a good idea at that point, to at least some of the people involved.” As Dyer says “only a fool would fail to look into it.”
The US intelligence community includes some 17 agencies and only a fool would fail to see if at least one had picked up what Nellie said and heard on her radio set. Likewise, only a fool would fail to subpoena Nellie H. Ohr and her powerful DOJ husband Bruce Ohr for a he-said-she-said performance on the real story of Russian collusion.

Just a “drop off” edge in the swamp?
They hired her because of her connections to the DOJ and because of her connections to and knowledge of Russia.
She's a major link.
Bruce and Nellie read up on the Rosenbergs.
Waterboard her in front of her hubby and make him talk.
Evidence is being accumulated from all sources re: this matter. Keeping these people employed gives those collecting the evidence more leverage over them and a way to “chat” with them without them hiding behind legal counsel.

Why are all Democrats slime ridden and corrupt.
The amateur radio inference is ridiculous. While it’s true she hold a Technician Class amateur license, any connection to her other activities is pure speculation. For one thing, if you wanted to have covert communications by radio, just go buy the damn thing and use it! Anyone can purchase ham radio equipment without having a licence, and detection of unlicensed operation is a very low priority with the FCC.
But moreover, what kind of spy decides to obtain a license from the federal government to engage in covert communications? It’d ridiculous on the face of it! If this were true. all terrorists would first obtain proper gun ownership and concealed carry permits.
FInally, the class of license she has is extremely limited in privileges, enabling use of frequencies that are generally capable of line-of-sight distances. Not a lot further than CB, GMRS, of FRS radios not to mention unlicenced business band radios where additional traffic would draw far less attention than on the amateur bands.
Plus there area a myriad of other ways to engage in secret communications such as steganography that would be less likely to be detected than by registering you name and address with the federal government.
Baseless speculation and conjecture just distracts from the real issues.
It fits a pattern of trying to conceal communications. She is an unlikely Ham.
The Ham radio angle does sound crazy - but no crazier than several other episodes in this real-life spy novel. Bruce Ohr committed some incredibly brazen and stupid acts - it’s obvious that most of these characters never expected any of this to be exposed.
Looks like this story needs to be recycled and reviewed again in the light of Bruce Ohr’s testimony.
