The day after 9/11, Bush should have said: There is something fundamentally wrong with Islam. And we are going to address that problem with extreme prejudice.
The entire West would have been behind us in that crusade (yes, I said crusade). Islam would have been forced to reform, much like Imperial Japan was forced to reform.
Instead Bush told us that “Islam is peace”. And so here we are.
