Hammer that the Dems care more about Illegal immigrants than Military vets, Senior citizens, etc.

Start arresting Mayors of Sanctuary Cities

I think there is very little Republicans can do keep the House. Democrats and Independents hate Trump are coming out in droves to vote. Republicans voters are already outnumbered in registration. When Democrats come out in droves, they cant be beat.

I love Newt's fighting spirit, but I disagree on two parts of his strategy.

Tax Cuts...

We already know exactly how the Democrats will attack us.

Yesterday I saw a MSM article that says the Budget Deficit in 2017 will be $1 trillion. Today, I saw a MSM article that says Trump's trade deficit in 2017 is worse than any Obama trade deficit. And, we have to worry that both inflation and interest rates will continue to rise into election day.

The Democrat argument against tax cuts will be powerful and effective. We will need to be at our very best to just get a 50-50 split on that issue.

Newt's second issue - the Hard Left MSM - is completely backwards.

Newt, like most Conservatives, claims that the MSM is the propaganda wing of the Democrat Party.

No!

The Democrat Party is the political wing of the MSM.

We need to take our fight straight at the MSM, and contemptuously ignore the Democrat candidates, to the extent possible.

Finally, there is the Immigration wild card that I don't think Gingrich even mentioned.

It's completely clear today that Trump lied about his immigration policies in 2015.

Most immigration hawks, like me, knew Trump was lying in 2015, but we voted for him anyway because he was the most Conservative candidate who could be elected.

However, in 2018, the GOP will lose some of their rank and file voters who actually believed Trump.

I have no idea how to repair that loss, except to gain a larger share of the Black and Hispanic vote, which is going to be very, very hard to do.
