To be fair, this kind of thing is happening all over New Jersey with Orthodox Jewish communities, too. Give it 10 years, and New Jersey will be looking like the West Bank.

I’ll go to a mosque and see if I can start a church in their basement.

"Looking like the West Bank"? What do you mean by that?

There have been recent lawsuits by Orthodox Jews in NJ protesting the illogical failure of Mahwah city pols to give permission for them to erect a thin piece of wire on telephone poles delineating the limits of the Jewish neighborhood, despite being given permission by the utility company. These pieces of wire delineate an area called an eruv. The wire enclosing the neighborhood permits observant Jews to carry small items such as house keys on the Sabbath, during which it is forbidden to carry things from one domain to another. The wire, way up high with the telephone wires, converts the entire neighborhood into one domain and so allows the carrying of things within. It was a simple blatant case of antisemitism which was won in court by the Orthodox group.
