This shows me that the Nunes FISA memo is strategic distraction

You can complain all you want about him, but there's no getting around the fact that he raises a very important point.

The release of the Nunes memo and the delay in Flynn's sentence didn't happen in the same week due to some strange coincidence.

I think he narrows his focus too much when he calls this a "distraction."

More likely, the Nunes memo was released to give every person who is being targeted by the Mueller team (think Paul Manafort, for example) the grounds to flood Mueller's office, the FBI, and even Congress with subpoenas for any and all documents related to the FISA surveillance.

I've been saying for months that a second special counsel is the wrong way to pursue these @ssholes in our legal system. A better approach is to expose and destroy them through an effective, aggressive defense strategy in criminal cases that have already been opened by the existing special counsel.

He would not have hired his stable of Democratic hatchet lawyers if he was a white hat.

Actually, he may not have had have much of a choice ... and it would also be an effective strategy.

1. His team was hired from top D.C. law firms. By the time Mueller was appointed, I understand many of the top Republican firms were already working for other players in the game (President Trump, for example).

I’m in agreement with you that this Wictor is BS if that wasn’t clear thanks...

Not only wrong but dead wrong. The entire ‘department of justice’ is corrupt and Sessions is compromised.

This is exactly where a special counsel is needed and Trump should implement it. I’d rather have military tribunals.

I find it hard to believe but it has crossed my mind. I don’t buy the whole Q thing either. However, I don’t want to totally dismiss it. Q says to trust Sessions. Sessions seems to trust Rosenstein and Mueller. Is Q an elaborate ruse and Sessions a dupe, or is Wictor on to something? Every time Trump questions Mueller the liberals go nuts and claim just questioning his integrity is an impeachable offense. What if this drags on and sometime late summer the whole thing blows up and Mueller indicts Comey, Clinton and the rest of the cabal? Can the liberals effectively turn on Mueller after spending a year and a half vociferously defending him? Game over for the midterm election hopes of the democrats? Just baseless speculation commenting on a speculative article. Forget 4D chess, this would be interdimensional chess.

Sorry -- the second item got cut off ...

2. By hiring these top attorneys, they are now put in a position where they can't work for targets and potential defendants in the investigation.

We’ll never know for sure how high corruption and depravity run in that town...

No, that was clear.

“Probably a deep state guy himself, trying to get you to relax and lower your guard, rather than pick up your pitchfork and fight.”

I never even thought about that angle. That wouldn’t be surprising.

These two statements directly contradict each other, dude.

Under current law, the special counsel REPORTS to the U.S. Department of Justice.

I've been saying for months that a second special counsel is the wrong way to pursue these @ssholes in our legal system.

An honest special counsel is the only party that can be trusted to get to the bottom of the corruption at the DOJ. DOJ agents are the last people on earth we should trust with this important duty.

A better approach is to expose and destroy them through an effective, aggressive defense strategy in criminal cases that have already been opened by the existing special counsel

But then justice wouldn't have been fully served. And won't be until some DOJ agents are arrested, not just lose their jobs.

Which report to the POTUS. They’re not independent.

If it was that easy then Trump would just fire Mueller and be done with it, no?

If a special counsel is appointed tomorrow, he'd have to report to either Jeff Sessions or Rod Rosenstein.

What exactly does this accomplish?

Do you even think about these things before you post them?

Few were convinced this would get to trial against Flynn, or thought he would ever get convicted.

So much has broken against the FBI tactics against the Trump campaign and his administration for so long that already made the FBI surveillance on Flynn look like a political hit, which it has been proven to be.

Is justice ever served in a case like this within the confines of a legal system run by bureaucrats?

Under current law, the special counsel REPORTS to the U.S. Department of Justice.

Correct, but with an honest SC and honest AG, it wouldn't matter, as these DOJ/DNC crimes are clear. You're limiting your vision to through the current prism of Mueller and Sessions/Rosenstein.

Possible I guess. I was thinking that either

1)news that agents were encouraged to change their 302’s, therefore, how do you know Flynn actually lied to the FBI or

2) Mueller actually is working for the white hats.
