It makes me a little uncomfortable to know that the wi-fi was on, and that people were carrying their personal devices into the chamber at all.
Think positively, NSA was able to capture everything on all their electronic devices.
WiFi is not necessary. She doubtless has a cell data plan with her wireless carrier.
That doesn't mean a Capital WiFi wasn't on -- it could have been. But I wouldn't use it, even with WPA2 and a tough password. Too easy to hack. And besides, they'd probably have a lame password, and it would be written somewhere easy to find and read.
Why would personal devices be a problem? In any case, a lot of people would refuse to leave their devices at the door.
