The idiots also thought they could expect the police officers and deputy sheriffs to follow their own policies, and not intimidate or threaten the citizens they supposedly "protect" and "serve."
There's always some bad apples in the bunch. The problem with the ones in law enforcement is that many times you can't tell which is which until it is too late.
Never assume the cops are there to protect and serve you, despite what’s written on the side of their patrol cars. They’re there to arrest or fine you if you do something wrong. If you have a problem with their conduct, you can always get a lawyer if nothing else.
