House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) continued minimizing $1,000 bonuses as "crumbs" in a town hall event on Thursday morning. Vice President Mike Pence had attacked her for this rhetoric on Wednesday, but she doubled down.
"There’s some tax advantage in the beginning for families, and that’s their enticement," Pelosi said at the "TrumpTax Town Hall" in Cambridge, Mass. "While they give banquets to the high end, to the top one percent to corporate America, I say crumbs — they mock me in ads for saying — compared to the banquet they give at the high end."

When you are a worker bee, you are part of a very large group of people. Any large payout is divided a lot of ways. That’s why it’s Trickle Down.
It would be interesting to see what percentage of the tax savings it is for most companies that are even doing it. (Mine isn’t)
Forget to ad despite the tax bonus rumors are the company is still going to offshore some important back office operations to India.
I’ll say it again, the Republican 2018 campaign ads are just there for the taking.
Even if what she said were true (and it isn’t), those of us who get crumbs don’t necessarily begrudge those who get to keep more of their own money (their banquet was already earned, but isn’t seized). Our “crumbs” are extra above and beyond the basic sustenance we get from our employment).

When you are the wealthiest woman in Congress, $1,000 must seem like pocket change.
That’s the company’s business. Give back your bonus if you don’t want it. There was never a requirement that anybody get a bonus.

The GOP sold the tax bill as it would increase wages and jobs. They forget to mention a guy in a cube might get only 5% if that pie.
Simple, Nancy. Just pass a law forcing all employers to give a 30% pay increase.
For some reason you don’t want to do it.
It will increase wages and jobs and it does that without a single bonus. If you wanted to control your bonus, you should run the company. Seems to me a conservative would understand that. You’d rather your company have less money and you have no bonus? I don’t get it.
Crumbs?
If that is crumbs, make it tax exempt.
What are a few crumbs?
Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats wanted Americans to get nothing. They voted against tax cuts and the possibilities for anyone to get crumbs.
I’m an S-Corp, I haven’t even figured out my final tax amount for 2017 yet. After that, I’ll try to figure out what we’re really going to save. Hopefully I can give some crumbs to my loyal employees.
That’s why a lot of people are now calling her Nancy “Crumbs” Pelosi. It’s almost as bad as Marie Antoinette saying “Let them eat cake.”
No wonder California is the chithole.
Nancy has a point? Ask her how much bonus she was planning for you to get. That would be a negative number. I get it. It’s every American’s right to grouse about their company, but the tax cut is a good thing for American workers and businesses.
Seniority raises to come later.
