I don’t think the onus was ever on President Trump to release the memo. The process always was that he would return it to the committee with his permission for them to release it.

It is the committee’s work product and therefore it is the committee’s task to release it.

This is entirely correct.

The President has the authority to object to the release of the memo within five days of receiving it.

President Trump is right not to usurp the authority of the Intel Committee, it would look very bad for him if he ran over them.

I’m as frustrated as anyone, but let’s let the process play out before we retire to our fainting couches, shall we?
