I love the way the Republicans hesitate to pull the trigger long enough for the rats to frame the debate.

Idiots.

Yes, that is frustrating. It makes me wonder why they’re doing it. They had to know better than I do that this would happen.

Normally I’d agree, but President Trump is certainly calling the shots on this one. The Dems would be screaming over nonsense like this regardless. They aren’t going to roll over and die. Once this memo is out, they’ll be fighting to block all supporting documentation and the like.

I don’t think they’re framing the debate though ... I think we are all to used to the way things used to be vs. the way they are now.

Not really. Dems and their media allies were going to do this anyway. No minds are going to be changed on this memo because the Dems will be able to create enough confusion. Nobody is going to jail. Sadly, it’s just beltway theater and red meat for the bases. Best for POTUS to stay on the economy and smashing dems on tax cuts.

Spot on. But the Republicans were also stupid to change ANYTHING on the memo. That handed the Left the perfect talking point.

I guess, we, who notice this kind of thing happen over and over again, could get pretty demoralized.

But, in the end it usually works out, so I’ll just keep hoping this is one of those times.

It seems republicans take forever to react.

Exactly!

Note my tag line: "DGYHU".

It stands for "Don't Get Your Hopes Up".

I changed my tag line the very first time someone posted a story about this freakin' memo here, and the majority of respondents were giddy about how the release was imminent and justice was just about to FINALLY be done.

Sorry. I have too much experience here, watching the stupid party, and getting my hopes up that they will finally fight fire with fire and do something right.

The swamp is very deep. I'm nearly convinced it will never be drained.
