“Tramp had damn well address this more important issue in his SOTU address and in a significant, meaningful way.”
This is an active investigation possibly tying back to the H Clinton computer that was hacked by foreign agents and contained sensitive or higher information. It is not the time or place to comment on what could be a small group of texts and files that are the first of the real evidence in a collusion possibility at this lofty level. A little later down the road when the evidence is presented it can be a matter of conversation. But right now, even though it appears the loop is closing, they still are innocent until proven guilty. And our federal government has a history of finding loophole to get even guilty people off. Don’t need to blow it.

I, like you above, have argued for some time on these pages that extreme caution is necessary to avoid exposing national security assets or weakening criminal actions appropriately brought. That aspect I refer to as the legal dynamic.
But it is quite important to not overlook the powerful political dynamic since in view of the upcoming House elections it presents the most immediate timeline.
Fortunately for us, we have a politically adept, well-informed street fighter in the WH who appears quite capable of successfully managing both conflicting timelines. Moreover, Trump he has demonstrated he is quite skilled at shaping public attitudes.
IMO, that management will include giving his base the confidence of knowing he thoroughly understands the threat (that arguably yet exists) and is addressing the matter, while at the same time giving middle-of-the-roaders and Dem voters serious doubt, and doing that very soon.
