The West Virginia senator Joe Manchin on Sunday criticized House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi for dismissing a new White House immigration plan as a way to “make America white again”.

“We don’t need that type of rhetoric on either side, from Nancy, [Republican House speaker] Paul Ryan or anybody else,” said Manchin, a West Virginian moderate and a leader of a bipartisan Senate group working on immigration who spoke to CNN’s State of the Union.

Senior White House officials outlined the immigration plan on Thursday. It would offer a path to citizenship for up to 1.8 million undocumented migrants who were brought to the US as children.

I wouldn't exactly call Manchin leaning right on this. The only political risk he took was pissing off Granny Stretchface. Nobody can or will argue with his position on this. Even leftards.

He left Pelosi hanging on that one. She won't go after him immediately. But she will remember.

As is usually the case, there is a very simple way to respond to her comment. Of course, it won’t be the ridiculous and moronic way that the talking heads, politicians and media types will, though.

Find the areas, in her district, where most of the money comes from. I’ll go out on a limb and say that they are probably the whitest and most liberal areas, as well. They’re going to be one or the other or both. As, even, rich, white liberals will allow others to live near them, as long as they can repeat the liberal mantra, verbatim. But, to counter her statement, have the President direct the resettlement of all refugees and illegals to be placed in those areas. Lots of brown folks to balance tings out.

I used to like him okay. That is long over. If he believes more in line with democrats, he needs to be defeated.

Not only will she remember, but so will the DNC and all the other fundraising arms of the Left. If it looks close, they’ll conceded that spot, to spend money somewhere else and leave him hanging out to dry. Sucks to be him.

Manchin probably never gets too much support from his party. He probably has to distance himself from it, like he just did, to trick the West Virginians into voting for his ass. All his anti dem fake conservative stances are staged. This one probably was too. Song and dance to fool the voters. Its not like it was an important vote. It was just words. Pelosi probably wrote it for him.

Bagster the cynic, or....

Bagster the realist.

I just realized I'm talking out of both sides of my neck on this. Derp.

Either Manchin is bucking his party, or he's faking it. After further consideration. I'm going with faking it cause election is coming up. Time to put on his conservative hat.

Yea, for his own good he should. But for the good of us all, they need to elect a conservative Repub in WV. I never trust a turncoat. It seems to always turn out bad. And they never seem to switch to the minority party.

President Trump has literally saved West Virginia from extinction.

Not doing too bad with a second-quarter GDP of 4.1%

A new polyethylene (PE) manufacturing facility, with its own "small" ethane cracker is set to open in West Virginia, Appalachian Resins Inc., which will own and operate the plant.

US Methanol broke ground yesterday in Institute (Kanawha County), WV for its very first methanol production plant. In August 2016 MDN was the first to share the news that US Methanol is building at least two, rumored up to five, methanol plants in the Mountain State

Jul 11, 2017 - Growing natural gas production in the region is a major draw for chemical companies, which use fossil fuel byproducts to make plastics. A second petrochemical hub in Pennsylvania, Ohio, Kentucky and West Virginia would compete with facilities on the U.S. Gulf coast and create thousands of jobs.

Nov 8, 2017 - BEIJING (Reuters) - China Energy Investment Corp, the world's largest power company by asset value, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to invest $83.7 billion in shale gas, power and chemical projects in West Virginia,

Nov 10, 2017 - The hub would also include a new pipeline connecting Charleston-area petrochemical plants to the hub pipelines near Point Pleasant, West Virginia. The storage hub is one of the projects that developers are working on under the memorandum of understanding with China Energy,

With four of the world's largest chemical firms and other chemical manufacturers in the Chemical Alliance Zone (CAZ), West Virginia is home to one of the highest concentration of chemical manufacturers in the world. The state's chemical industry employed more than 10000 workers in 2006, ranking second nationally .

The whole “Republicans are racist” line from Democrats is old, tired, and well past it’s sell-by date, much like Nancy. When used it should be vigorously objected to and refuted.

I wouldn’t exactly call Manchin a “fellow democrat”, more of an opportunist.

But every time Nancy or one of the others says something like that to capture one brown voter, three whites who have voted Democrat in the past think, “what’s so bad about whites?”

This public disparaging of whites is shifting the Overton window day by day.
Drip, drip, drip....

Keep it up, Nancy.

Elections are wonderful things aren’t they?
They really strike fear into Democrats that have to run for eelection in states that went overwhelmingly for President Trump, hope West Virginia dumps another pretender.

Pelosi is a fool. President Trump has her jumping through hoops and making herself look like some bizzaro comic book villain.

Make America White Again?

Since when was it “not white?” Is this the arcane legacy of Obama? Likely so.

Joe Manchin is up for reelection in 2018. Trump did not rescind DACA. He allowed it to sunset.
