The White House appears to have banned Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) from participating in immigration reform negotiations due to recent strain between Graham and the Trump administration, as well as other Republicans in the House and Senate.
Tensions first rose when Graham advocated for an immigration deal that failed to address President Donald Trumps main concerns regarding chain migration and border security alongside Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.). The situation worsened when the Republican senator criticized chief of staff John Kelly as never having closed a deal before, politically and top policy adviser Stephen Miller as being an outlier on immigration, according to The Washington Examiner.
It is almost appalling to me that you have a senator that isnt stepping up, doing the right thing, press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said in an interview with Fox News on Monday. Look, we want to make a deal on DACA. We want to do these things. And the fact that hes not part of the conversation to help move that ball forward and is instead attacking individual members of the presidents staff, I think, shows...theyre going to blame people for their own failures. And I think its time that they stop playing political games, come to the table, get serious and do their jobs.

obama and bush tried? Where was I?
Lindsey, just change the letter before your name to a (D) and be at least a little bit honorable.
That’s very good.
Lol
no there hasn’t been. several decent conservatives were considering running in 2016 but they somehow got promotions or committe leads in the state senate / state house ...
Go figure
[WTF is wrong with Graham. Does he really think the people of SC want 2 million illegals LEGALIZED? And no border security and unhindered chain migration?
Who the Hell does he think he is?]
A Chamber of Commerce whore.
Theres Something About Lindsey
I thought there was like five challenging him and at least two were decent conservatives. They of course split the anti-Linseed vote & he wins. That didn’t happen? Note not in South Carolina so only get indirect news.
Actually, there’s “nothing about Lindsay” even remotely resembling a Man...
Lindsey should sign over his land, home, and bank account to The Dreamers since that is what he wants to force other Americans to do.
Make it so.
Maybe because the WH finally realized that Graham’s position on immigration is identical to that of La Raza’s.
Agreed, completely! Why they were even on that panel I cannot fathom. Unless if Trump is playing 5D Chess with those morons as pawns, which may be the case.
Graham has been a never Trumper forever. Me thins he wants a plum job with Suckerberg or Soros after he retires.
oops that was 2014 not 2016 for primary. Wikipedia shows 6 challengers and polls with Graham having more support than all others combined. I know i voted for one of them but dont remember which. My recollection is that challengers never had great funding or name recognition ... even to us locals. the ones who could have been competitive didnt get in.That sure irritated me. i dont remember names . I voted for a libertarian in nov.
wikipedia says : a serious challenger to Graham failed to emerge and he was widely viewed as likely to win,[1] which has been ascribed to his “deft maneuvering” and “aggressive” response to the challenge. He befriended potential opponents from the state’s congressional delegation and helped them with fundraising and securing their preferred committee assignments; he assembled a “daunting multimillion-dollar political operation” dubbed the “Graham machine” that built six regional offices across the state and enlisted the support of thousands of paid staffers and volunteers, including over 5,000 precinct captains; he assembled a “staggering” campaign warchest and “blanketed” the state with positive ads; he focused on constituent services and local issues; and he refused to “pander” to the Tea Party supporters, instead confronting them head-on, arguing that the Republican party needs to be more inclusive.
Oh you cheesesteak eating Eagles fan...
I was making a pun of the movie Theres Somethibg About Mary...which is about a woman and changing the Mary to Lindsey, the confirmed bachelor senator from South Carolina.
Make sense now? :)
