I went to Purgatory once, in January. It was a tad chilly. Just another asinine statement.....pathetic. ⛷

How about belonging to, and staying in the church that He founded...... I already do bro, but I am sure its not the church ⛪ you belong to. Since I like YOPIOS, I will take my chances on that. I dont plan on swimming the Tiber anytime soon, because I have assurance of salvation. 😇

Your sins are never forgiven, unless you come to faith in Christ alone. No priest can forgive sin. Scripture does not say this. whose sin you shall forgive, they shall be forgiven, whose sins you shall retain, they are retained what do you suppose that means??????

You know I am an ex Catholic myself, so I have a stake in this too. My opinion is, some Catholics think that we true Christians, can make a profession of faith in Christ, then go live like the devil, because, well after all, my sins are forgiven. Wrong answer. When I was a Catholic, that was how I thought. You were NEVER taught that in the church....every sin had to be confessed and a sincere intention to avoid the sin was necessary for absolution....sincerity was DEMANDED for forgiveness... wake up.

Not what you think and covered multiple times already. So its not what he thinks, but you wont even tell him what you think it means, let alone refute?
How priggish. How can you not be ashamed of yourself?

just why would a creator create a people, 98%of which would spend eternity in hell?????? I dont know bro. You can ask Him when you see Him. Dont try to tell Him He was wrong for doing that. It wont go over well.
I know He wiped out the entire population of the world in the Flood, except for 8 people 😢 If estimates are right, there were about 150 million people on the earth. That would mean He killed off 149,999,992 people in one fell swoop. Do you have a problem with that? I dont. They were evil. They deserved it.
I dont know for sure, if my idea of a percentage of the population is right. It might be 99% of the worlds population that goes to Hell. I just dont know. I know that Heaven will be exclusive, since not many will make it.
So, my question for you, would be, are you in the 1 to 3%, or in the 97 to 99%? Whichever percentage you are in, is on you bro. I hope you choose correctly bro. Once you reach the place that you dont want to be in, you cant get out of it. Something tells me, that you dont really want to hear the words I NEVER knew you.

Not to mention that church membership is not a NT concept in the least.
The only purpose for church membership is for voting privileges in church government and usually to be serving in an official capacity in the church, and even then its mostly so that there is some kind of commitment to the church doctrine, someone doesnt go around misrepresenting what the church teaches and accountability if they do.> dream along with me......sigh

Since I am into YOPIOS, I disagree with your interpretation of that verse, just like I disagree with about 99% of your interpretations. I am comfortable with that.

What if Mother Teresa lived an almost perfect life....yet right there at the end she slipped and told a lie but died before she could ask for forgiveness. Now, we're presuming she had faith in Christ and had believed in Christ in this discussion. Heaven or Hell for her? a lie, in almost every case, is not a mortal sin....she might spend 30 seconds in purgatory....but she has earned salvation through her good works and the promise of salvation by our Lord.

Horse hockey. Most of the people I went to school with, you know, the ones from your OTC, went to confession, and went right back out and did the same thing all over again. I went to confession every day in school, cuz I was worried I had committed a mortal sin. The truth is, I probably committed a thousand mortal sins a day. Too many to keep track of, so I gave it up for lent. Later, through true faith, as opposed to false faith, I joined the REAL OTC. 😀 I am comfortable with that. 😇👍

Something tells me YOU arent going to be too happy when youre asked about your 1Thess 5:21 efforts.
I GUARANTEE you never spent as much effort researching Catholic claims as you spent learning Revisionists counter-claims.
Do you think youre any more sure of your salvation that the pagans are sure of evolution? Yet Romans tells us they are without excuse because of that which has been made.

I appreciate the thought but Id rather you direct any prayers for me to the Father or the Son. I know those are heard. uhhhhh, when we pray the HAIL MARY, we are asking her to intervene on our behalf.....don't you believe that Jesus just might react to His mother's request sooner than yours??????

Except for real blood or real flesh, which has no evidence of occurring and was not believed until after the Apostles. John 6:55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink.

a lie, in almost every case, is not a mortal sin....So, let me see if I can interpret what you are saying here. If, in almost every case, a lie is not a mortal sin, that must mean, that in some rare cases, it is. What kind of lie, would be a mortal sin? I wonder if Mother Teresa would be up a creek, if she committed ones of those lies?

I GUARANTEE you never spent as much effort researching Catholic claims as you spent learning Revisionists counter-claims.You dont even know me bro. You cant guarantee me anything. I spent 12 years in Catholic school, getting Catholic doctrine shoved down my throat. That was way more than enough. I am out of it now. I have no intention of swimming the Tiber. I am into YOPIOS. I am ok with that. If you are not, then I guess we will have to agree to disagree. I am NEVER going to change my position. I will still be ok with it. 👍
