I don’t think that America knew how deep this conspiracy was.Its been building for over 100 years, since Woodrow Wilson.
1. Everything is allowed to advance the Agenda, because there is no God and political power is all that matters.
2. The mass of people are too stupid to rule themselves and must be dictated to by their betters (the elite).
3. The Constitution is outdated and obsolete. It can and should be ignored and/or “reinterpreted” as a “living document” so that it is not an impediment to the power of the State.
These are all core, fundamental principles of Progressivism since Wilson, at least.

Since Lincoln. Lincoln launched the civil war to protect the financial interests of Norther Power brokers who had gained decisive control over the power of government by 1860. "Mercantilism" (Lincoln's political philosophy) was just an early form of "Crony Capitalism" in which powerful men could use the government to serve their own best financial interests.
An independent South represented a dire threat to these interests because they had secured control of all the South's exports to Europe, and all money funneled back into the US in payments was forced to come through New York, where they could get about a 40% cut of it.
The South trading directly with Europe and without routing all it's profits through New York would cause massive upheaval in the finances of New York and the North East.
Note the massive amounts of corruption that occurred subsequent to the Lincoln Government. The Grant government was a system in which virtually everyone (except Grant) was on the take in some form or another.
Deep state/Crony Capitalist conspiracy pretty much began with Lincoln.
