But what you’re doing is just as self righteous

Legally this judge did go on a bit much

Remember Judge Ito

Sometime judges like limelight

Nasser already got a 60 year federal sentence didn’t he for kiddie porn

Why are pervs always juvenile and wormy looking

They never look masculine

In lots of murder trials, the judge makes a personal statement during sentencing such as, ""He is a ruthless murderer who feels compassion for no one and remorse only for the circumstances in which he finds himself. He is a malignant force from whom no one he deems disloyal or adversarial can be secure."

In the judge's favor, she has declined all post-trial interviews, saying the story is about the victims, not her.

Yeah, makes you wonder what office she’s going to run for.

150 victims

300 evil parents

1 hero: the lady with awareness something was wrong

1 adult out of 100s of clueless average people.
That is sadly normal. Now go back to your TV.

I’m personally familiar with judges comments at sentencing

They always ad lib or give encouragement (my experience) or stern stuff such as you alluded to or even criticize the prosecution on the rare occasion

But if they go on too much they do give an open up on appeals anout sentencing and fairness and themselves to criticism

I haven’t kept up much with this

Did Nasser plead guilty and all the testimony was for his sentencing phase?

I don’t recall a trial

Nasser plead guilty, part of the plea agreement being the victim impact statements. 156 of them over seven days.

Hard to comprehend what would make a man give up so much for gratification. Now, he’z given up his freedom for a 6x9 cell..till the day he expires. Wow!

He doesn't seem to even realize the life long emotional scars he has given to these young ladies/girls. Stealing their childhood innocence.

Good grief.

I own a terrier.

A Carin terrier. I would also not set him after this guy. My dog has more refined taste.

Tie him up in a room filled with cats and smear tuna all over him? Yeah.

He is trying to do the opposite.

The judge just gave a way for the abuser to get out of the sentence, and maybe conviction.

Let the jailers handle the “instruction”. Or the other inmates.

The skeptical side of me wonders if this wasn’t a deliberate attempt to through out the sentence.

True. Multiple times victims came forward and were treated like THEY were the wrongdoers. MSU administration covered for this guy just like penn state covered for sandusky.
