More than a thousand people protested in central Zürich on Tuesday against the planned arrival of US President Donald Trump in Switzerland for the World Economic Forum (WEF).

Trump is due to make a speech at the gathering of international business and political leaders in Davos on Friday.

The demonstrators marched through the Swiss city chanting “Trump not welcome”, with some carrying banners and placards reading “dump the Trump” and “Switzerland is hosting Nazis”, an AFP reporter said, putting the turnout at over 1,000.

“We are protesting against both Trump and the WEF. The discussions between the richest one percent of the world and a man who fuels an aggressive atmosphere towards women and minorities has no place in Switzerland,” said Tamara Funiciello, president of Young Socialists of Switzerland.

They are a bunch of cowards.

They did NOTHING when the Magic Negro forced them to disclose the names of private depositors Swiss bank accounts.

Why would anyone ever place their money into a Swiss account now?

They got slapped by Obama and liked it. Screw them.

Not a very Swiss sounding name. None of the protesters names sound Swiss.

I wonder why that is?

The Swiss, like most other nations, have their own fringe element. But unlike other countries, these elements are relatively well identified, and if they do not have a chip embedded on them somewhere, or otherwise not identified by facial recognition software or other similar means, it is only because they have not yet revealed themselves, or are some kind of recent convert to the movement.

Much harder for Soros to move them about in Switzerland than it is in the US. So the numbers in Zurich are much lower than a similar demonstration in, say, Berkeley. The Swiss are a free people, but with built-in safeguards in just about every aspect of their lives, beginning with an ethnic Swiss identity. Very hard there for a person of non-Swiss heritage to become a citizen. You may live there, but without ever gaining the rights of Swiss citizens.

They are news in the U.S. now because a democrat is not in the White House.

8.1% of the Swiss are native Italian speakers. Italian is one of the four official languages in Switzerland.

0.5% of the Swiss speak Romansh, another Romance language descended from Latin.

Plenty of Swiss have names ending in vowels.

When the media report a protest against Trump they multiply the crowd by 100...if the crowd is for Trump, the media will divide the size by 1000...

the irony - while the globalists inside Davos complain about Trump killing globalism, the anti-globalist protesters outside Davos march against Trump!
(also worth noting, it’s small numbers being magnified by the FakeNewsMSM)

knowing what many people know about the Clintons and Haiti, how’s this from the ex long-time editor of Sunday Times in the UK, who has also worked with NY Daily News, Guardian, BBC and now Reuters?

23 Jan: Reuters: Harold Evans: Will Davos Man – or Woman – take on Trumpian nihilism?
In 2010 the discriminating Davos audience gave Bill Clinton a hero’s welcome for his post-presidential leadership in helping Haiti after the earthquake that killed an estimated 220,000 people – including at least 25 percent of government workers. Trump flies in on the foul winds of his condemnation of Haiti as one of the “shithole countries,” its citizens disqualified by race as unworthy of entry to the United States...

As the Forum program highlights: “China is playing a robust role in international affairs from economic development to the environment.” The commentary underlines Trump’s precipitate rejection of the 195-nation Paris agreement to control emissions: “According to current estimates, the Earth is expected to warm 3.2 percent - more than double the Paris targets… A major extension of the West Antarctic ice sheet has broken off and Swiss glaciers continue to recede. Is there still time to limit warming by two degrees and, if so, how do we do it?”

The answer is “not a chance.” Not while Trump meets science with the wisecrack that he prefers to represent the citizens of Pittsburgh over Paris, (a view not shared by Pittsburgh’s mayor), not while from time to time he still calls global warming “bullshit” and a costly hoax, not while he sticks with the reckless polluter Scott Pruitt as head of the Environmental Protection Agency, not while Emmanuel Macron is president of France, ever faithful in his embrace of the globalist rallying cry Make The Planet Great Again. (Trump will meet him privately in Davos.) ...

President Trump beginning the withdrawal from the Paris Accord is the thing they fear most. trillions of dollars are involved in that long-planned scam.
