More data that the number of gun owners in the United States is increasing, not decreasing. In states that require a permit to buy or own guns, those numbers are strongly up as well.

That’s good news. I hope all of these new gun owners are learning how to safely handle firearms.

The most commonly cited evidence that gun ownership is declining is the General Social Survey, which shows a gradually declining percentage of households in the United States that tell survey-takers they have guns in the household. The key phrase there is "...that tell survey-takers they have guns in the household". At this point in our history, there is no way anyone in my family would admit to a pollster, survey-taker, or census-taker that we own firearms.

They may certainly need them to make the New California split from the communist-ruled urban areas. That spilt would be the best thing that ever happened to CA. CA’s rural and ag areas have been “held hostage” way to long by the urban insane.

If it’s declining then just about anyone who wanted some sort of firearm bought them; then too, several arms manufacturers are not selling many either - I think Remington is have some issues there.

Passing more restrictive laws will spur sales, at least temporarily. People want to buy something before it is banned completely.
