Do the Senators have any power or authority with the DOJ to get the ball rolling on finding the texts?
Let’s keep in mind that both the NSA and the FBI have their own tools to monitor and store communications like text messages. In the Bureau’s case, they had the CARNIVORE system, which evolved into DCS-1000 (sounds much less ominous and threatening than something that eats meat) and now DCS-3000. Those texts are not “lost” - even if they weren’t saved on mobile devices (which I highly doubt)...
Someone should leak that they found the messages and it talks about killing Trump. I bet he messages will magically show up the very next day.
Why are Lisa Page, Peter Strozk and several others involved in this conspiracy still able to report to work each day at the FBI? This provides them with the potential to destroy evidence. Strozk was assigned to HR duties about which has no expertise so why wasn’t he placed on administrative leave. What is Lisa Page doing on behalf of we taxpayers, and where is she? How did she and Strozk have time to exchange thousands of texts, meet for trysts and earn their grossly inflated salaries?
The obvious answer is they didn’t.
