The governor is wearing flowery tourist stuff around his neck to announce this info? Weird.
The Gov is applying for an airport greeter position.
It makes him look like a freak.

I am not defending this obvious buffoon, but those are ilima (the orange) and maile (the green) leis. Those are not tourist leis. Ilima leis, and maile leis to a lesser extent, are generally reserved for special/fancy events.
Having said that, it makes it worse to see him wearing such leis after this fustercluck. To me, who was born and raised in Hawaii, it shows a lack of humility. Like he's adorning himself after forgetting his Twitter password that left people there thinking they were about to die---What?!
