The airport is open 24/7 ands has indoor bathrooms which some might even use. They may have the inconvenience of food stands closing overnight.
You get the level of behavior you’ll tolerate.
So much for flying Delta Airlines.
Avoid MARTA if at all possible.
About a half century or so of extreme mismanagement and bad policies by liberal/progressives have turned large swaths of America into a mobile slum that simply insinuates itself into every nook and cranny of society. No freeway offramp, park, or transit terminal is safe, and it’s spreading like a cancer.
I was a member of Spirit of Atlanta Drum & Bugle Corps, and yeah, we rehearsed at the airport numerous times.
Did you stay at the Springhill Suites?
Every time I’ve flown out of Atlanta, I would drive up the day before and stay at the Springhill. Their parking rates are cheaper than over at the airport.

We stayed at the Renaissance. It was very convenient.
There is no black leadership in Honolulu yet they have a huge homeless population,including some that spend the night at the airport.
Recently saw downtown Atlanta from the top of Stone Mountain. I think that’s as close as I want to get.
Same reason large hospitals have had to start closing or patrolling their waiting rooms at night, and stop unlimited access to coffee rooms. It’s a shame.
When flying I will NEVER choose a layover in ATL. Hate that airport with a passion.

Delta: the only airline which told Sheila Jackson Lee to GFY when she demanded to be treated like a queen. I’ll miss Delta.
I went to my first day game at Angel Stadium, in a while, three years ago. I was shocked by the huge homeless encampment adjacent to the ballpark, had no idea it was so big. Six months ago the newspapers started a series on what a big problem it “suddenly” had become.
