ROTFL! Now that’s one reeeeeeelaxed kitteh!
Hey there, Kathy.
Our ‘net seems to have finally settled down after going in fits and starts all day. We’ll see what happens as the night wears on.
We’ll be fairly warm the next week though Tues. will be chilly. We look forward to rain tomorrow and I sure hope for a thunderstorm in the mix. :-)
Well bummer! Too bad that you have to bring stuff back. That has to be a LOT of salt to even make the air smell bad. I hope you do get rain.
Wish we would. I’m afraid we’re heading into another drought. The farmers around the area are worried, too.
He is the champ of relaxed! And he’s so loooooooooong! Hard to tell there, but he really stretches out and his tail is so long that I can touch the end of it without bending over when he has it straight up, which is how he usually carries it. LOL!
It was just one bag but it was full of paper that would have blown in the wind. I had to walk around a few times to stamp out a few glowing cinder-type pieces as it was. Cardboard really falls apart and blows when there’s wind.
No biggie. That stuff will get burned next time.
I think they put down the whole winter’s supply of brine last week. I’ve never seen so much salt on the roads after it dried. And the cars keep kicking up the salt dust. It’s on everything outside.
I had to wash my lips off and rinse my mouth out when I came in because I could taste it. Ugh!
I hope there isn’t another drought there this year. No, no, no, no, NO!
Some of ours are pretty good at relaxing, especially in odd ways. Chauncey was one. I don't know how she thought this was comfortable but it was her favorite way to sleep.
((HUGS))Good morning, Ladies. Thanks for this morning's thread, Star. How's it going?
That kitteh looks very similar to Tigermaus!
I can’t stay long, it’s really late.
My skilled unit is full, and the pace is crazy!
I have pulled two 12 hour shifts, I’m pooped!
LOL
One more shift to go..
Ice cream is helping my attitude immensely!
Howdy, MS.B!
Ice cream helps almost everything and is a really good attitude adjuster. LOL! Sounds like you’re working a lot of hours and that’ll sure make the attitude go south.
Chauncey looked a lot like a Maine Coon - - markings, white tip on the tail, the little tufts on the ears, etc. - but she was a small girlie. I miss her a lot. Kidney failure took her at a young age. :-(
There was a Snoopy cartoon once that I never forgot.....
I’m glad you were able to get all the little cinders stomped out. That could have been bad!
All that salt! If you have another snow event, you won’t need to put down more. There’s no way it’ll stay frozen on those roads! LOL!
I’d better go. Getting up early this morning has wiped me out for tonight! See ya tomorrow!
Go for the ice cream! ......and then get your rest, Sis!
That’s a lot of shifts. I don’t know how you do 12 hours at a time. I have a friend who does the same thing at a hospital here. She monitors the heart patients.
I guess you know we DO need another picture of Tigermaus! :)
I need to go, too. See ya next time. Maybe a bit earlier? Sweet dreams!
I remember that cartoon, though I haven’t thought about it in eons. Our whole family got a kick out of it because we had boneless cats. LOL
It WOULD be nice to be able to relax as much as they do.
Oh, and WOOHOO! You were paying attention and got that 50!
It wasn’t that much trouble. Just keep an eye on them as they float and if they don’t go out quickly, walk over and step on them. There wouldn’t have been a problem if the wind hadn’t picked up.
The highway used to be black asphalt but it’s white with all the salt they put down. They over-did it. We need a HEAVY rainfall to get the roads clean. I’m still coughing and sneezing from being outside tonight.
Good night and sleep well. I hope things calm down there tomorrow.
Pssst!
It was a STSF. All the way. heehee!
Nite...for reals. ZZZzzzzzzzz.........
LOL! I kinda thought it was but wasn’t going to say it. Tryin’ ta be nice. :-)
My internal clock is a bit off so I’m awake round 4AM roll around until 6, grab coffee and come here.
YIKES!
