French president Emmanuel Macron shocked Andrew Marr during their interview when he admitted that had France held a referendum on membership of the EU after Brexit, the French people would vote to leave.

Twitter lit up after the interview was aired, with many questioning if the French leader had just admitted that he "does not listen to his own people" since he has refused to hold a referendum on the EU.

Not a bombshell to me. I agree that the citizenry of France would prefer to remain French rather than succumb to the globalism in the EU. No surprise that Macron recognizes that. Also, no surprise that the French won’t have an opportunity to vote on it.

Face it. The EU is a proto-fascist dreamland. Collapse already!

Yeah I guess that part isn’t a bombshell, but Macron being willing to still admit it at this stage is...Though perhaps that’ll only put more pressure on the E.U. to reform the way he wants it to.

France now has two existential problems of major proportion
1. getting the Hell out of the Fourth Reich (EU), and
2. getting the Islamic invaders the Hell out of France

Macron just admitted to be a dictator. Will there be a Robespierre complete with guillotine?

The 2nd problem requires spilling rivers of blood.

“No other European Union country has risked putting membership of the bloc to a public vote since Britain surprised member-states by voting to leave the bloc in 2016...”

European democracy: We know the people don’t want something, so we won’t allow them to vote on it.

Coming to a theatre near you.

Macron's political opposition can offer to give the French people an opportunity to vote on it, after the next election.
