Unfortunately for Schumer(Shutdown), Mick Mulvaney was the primary Trump admin person out there on the Sunday news programs explaining WHY it IS the Schumer Shutdown and why the Dems are responsible. Mulvaney is the A10 tank killer on all things budget/CFPB. He did very well on the Sunday shows so I don’t think Schumer is going to get the ‘push back’ he was hoping for.
As for the women’s march, Trump pretty much stole their thunder with this ‘gracious’ tweet:
