It seems likely the Awans were running a classic tech theft ring from the House Democrat Caucus. They first report the expensive tech equipment stolen then sell it out the back door. The greedy Democrat also gets a cut.

NY House Democrat Rep. Yvette Clarke AND her chief of staff (who she directs) have some explaining to do.

Cong Clarke and her chief of staff did not alert authorities to the huge amt of missing equipment "written-off" to the tune of 120,000 tax dollars (also "missing") when it was brought to the attention of Yvette Clarke's office around Feb 2016.

A Congressman's written request to sign away that much "lost" electronic equipment would have been “way outside any realm of normalcy,” particularly since Clarke's small office employed only 16 aides. The 120,000 tax dollars would have bought about 150 devices.

Clarke's office failed to alert authorities until months later when House administrators told Clarke's office they were reviewing finances connected to the Awans.

==============================================

Here's the sap-happy Dem blithely "aiding and abetting" the theft of US-govt issue equipment.
"Oh, it's just a measly 120,000 tax dollars.....just write it off."

Cong Yvette Clarke describes herself as a "Caribbean-American."

===========================================

BACKSTORY---The House administrators asked Clarke’s then-chief of staff, Wendy Anderson, whether she had noticed any anomalies, and at that time she alerted them to the $120,000 write-off, the official told TheDCNF.

<><> This raises questions regarding how Democrat Yvette Clarke wouldn’t have noticed (A) that tech equipment was being purchased, (B) in quantities a member's office might not plausibly need, (C) but never actually materialized at Democrat Yvette Clarke's office, having been delivered to Imran Awan's house

<><> Being scrutinized is a falsified invoicing scheme that authorities believe involved cooperation from within the ranks of the Hill's tech supplier, CDW Government Inc.

REALITY CHECK Equipment purchased by members’ offices is normally tracked closely by central House-wide administrators, but House rules allow micro-purchases under $500 to be treated more informally. That rule was exploited by the marauding Paki clan.

<><>

Democrat Congressional offices IT'ed by the Awans routinely submitted falsified invoices that routinely showed high-priced tech items falsely billed at just under the $500.00 cutoff rule that kept it off the House tracking radar.

<><> More shockingly, CDW Government Inc. the tax-paid equipment was deliviered ..... not to the Congressional office...... but to Imran’s house, a knowledgeable source said.

However, the Democrat member (or high-level staffer with financial responsibility in the member's office) would still have to sign a voucher for each such purchase. ======

Kramer: These businesses, they just write it off.

Jerry: You don’t even know what a write off is.

Kramer: Do you?

Jerry: No, I don’t.

Kramer: Well they do. And they’re the ones writing it off.
