Mayor Catherine Pugh fired Baltimore’s top cop Friday, saying she had grown “impatient” with Commissioner Kevin Davis’ inability to stem the historic pace of killings in the city now stretching into a third year.
She named Deputy Commissioner Darryl D. De Sousa, the top commander in the Police Department’s patrol bureau, as Davis’ replacement, effective immediately, and said she would ask the City Council to make the appointment permanent.
“Crime is now spilling out all over the city, and we’ve got to focus,” Pugh said. “I am charging [De Sousa] and his staff to get on top of it to reduce the numbers and to reduce them quickly.”

Yep, if it wasn’t for Davis and those damned cops the ferals would behave themselves !
Isn’t Baltimore one of those cities that openly hated Cops and wanted nothing to do with them? They didn’t want police in ‘their’ neighborhoods. Some residents ‘understood’ why people would try to hurt an officer sitting in his marked car. With such attitudes, any policeman, any human being is going to pull back. If you don’t want us there, we won’t be there except at direct requests. Happy now?

Well, obviously, another police “stand down” is needed.
Also, I see the new police commissioner is African American. That alone should solve the problem immediately.
I seriously cannot comprehend why people choose to live in filth like this. You can’t blame it on “being poor”. Garbage collection is everywhere and free. Plastic bags cost almost nothing. Why do these people wallow in filth?
They reduced the number of cops and they let the criminals out of jail. What did they think would happen?
If she wants to make a dent in the crime rate, appoint former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke as Police Commissioner.
This is a little bit like the US Navy failing to adequately train their line officers in proper navigation and when the inevitable collisions happen they start firing the officers and charging the captains with Negligent Homicide.
Before anybody jumps my case on this... The captains are responsible, it’s naval tradition as well as law. But the Pentagon is trying to keep the blood from reaching their doorstep.

... And don’t forget the “civilian review board” so we can maintain a Reign of Terror over the the beat cops and their supervisors.
Lack of fathers and being taught right and wrong.
These people need to be committed to a rubber room for what they have done and continue to do to cities like Baltimore. Liberalism is truly a mental disorder.
