I’d be careful jumping on the bandwagon too quickly. Information is starting to trickle out that makes it look like Vegas was a counterterrorism op that was botched by the feds.
This was my area of expertise for over 20 years and I’ve suspected this was the case since the morning after the shooting. Got up the morning of October 2nd, listened to the news reports and told my wife, “Terrorist op, just like Oklahoma City (which was a badly-botched ATF/FBI undercover op”. Start piecing the facts together, beginning with the ISIS threat on Las Vegas back in June. You’ll come to the same conclusion.

Just to add: Given what’s coming out on the FISA warrant, illegal domestic surveillance, the texts, etc., as well as Las Vegas, the Bureau is going to be in a full-blown, balls-to-the-wall CYA operation for quite a while. First step is always discrediting critics...
I’ve heard the same claims, from current/former federal law enforcement sources. If what they claim is true, Paddock was either a willing dupe, or someone engaged in illegal activities and being monitored by the feds, who hoped to snag bigger fish when an expected transaction was supposed to occur. Instead, the whole thing blew up and everyone is scrambling to cover their tracks.
