Monday, introduce a bill to authorize funds for Military pay, and let the Dems vote against that too.
Tuesday maybe the Forest Service, let the Dems vote against that.
Wednesday Federal LEO day, including ICE.
You get the idea. Eventually everything that's really important will be funded or the 'Rats will be on record opposing it. Now some agencies like the EPA might have to wait their turn, but we'll get around to them later...
Now as to nonessential - during the shutdown we're all going to be inconvenienced, so if Congresspersons don't have staff, or have to clean their own offices, or walk to work instead of being chauffeured, it's only fair, right?
