A naval ship of war was once measured by how far its projectiles could travel. Aircraft carriers ended that issue, making battleships obsolete. Now aircraft carriers and all naval vessels face obsolescence. Missiles can be fired from land and air and reach far away targets. China may be building ships, but maybe they won’t really matter.
“China may be building ships, but maybe they wont really matter.”
What really does matter is that our Congress is dicking along doing nothing about rebuilding our military. Not having a “prepared military” may really matter, and really matter sooner than we’d like. The problem is that two-thirds of our $hit isn’t operational, and we have untrained idiots to operate what we do have that works.
