1. Chris Christie was a Bush loyalist to the core.

2. Christie destroyed any chance he had at a major cabinet position in the days after the infamous "Access Hollywood" tape came out during the campaign last year. Trump was making calls to his inner circle to gauge their loyalty through the ordeal, and Christie didn't answer his phone for days after that.
