At no point do these foul folk ever flat out admit “ We were wrong”.
They can’t admit “we were wrong”.
Remember the commu-Leftist axiom: “the issue is never the issue, the issue is always The Revolution.”
They can’t reconcile with their opposition for mutual benefit. They _must_ perpetually foster an adversarial relationship so they always have something to “revolt” against. To admit the opposition is right is to betray their reason for being: to fight against a declared opponent, forever.
Bingo.
And if this issue comes up again in a few years and the government considers further corporate tax cuts, these same people will AGAIN say that it has NEVER worked in the past. Not one time.
They have a Narrative/Fantasy and they have nothing else.
