What many Americans don’t realize is that there are many people living in effluent countries who regard the USA as a sh*thole country. Arriving for the first time in America from a homogeneous society one could easily be confused and think to have arrived in some African nation. There are many Europeans who, after having lived in the US legally for many years, decide to return to their country of origin. The bad perception that some Americans may have about other nations works in either direction. Why do you think that there are so many Americans living in Europe and elsewhere who have been there since WWII and never bothered coming home?
As a corollary, if you treat black crime statistics separately, the USA is as peaceful as Sweden.
“Why do you think that there are so many Americans living in Europe and elsewhere who have been there since WWII and never bothered coming home?”
Did you use the word “effluent” instead of “affluent” on purpose?
