Fox News viewers already are exposed to mainstream news in every newspaper, radio, or tv source. Somehow they can handle hearing another viewpoint than the CNN one. If Fox News is too difficult to watch, you are on a planet where you suck unquestioningly at one giant teat for your entire life.

Trump says "sh*thole countries. Media decides he's talking exclusively about Haiti and African countries. Media notice high concentration of black people in these countries. Media deduces Trump does not want black people in this country. Media declares Trump racist.
Not satisfied with this "logic" or conclusion, the press then has to "take it up a notch".
Since Trump has been deemed racist, we must now confront him about his racism. Direct questions about his 'overt' racism. Speculative discussion about his ties to the KKK. Incendiary talk about a return to slavery, or worse yet, concentration camps and executions. Concentration camps and executions? Well, that sounds like Hitler. Trump is Hitler. No, wait, that doesn't sound bad enough. Trump is WORSE than Hitler.
And soon the Ministry of Disinformation that is the mainstream media begins marching in lockstep, chanting 'Trump is worse than Hitler.' Mass hysteria.

“Common baseline of facts” that would be nice, wouldn’t it? What really angers them is so many of us realized we were not being told the truth, and have not been for many years.
I remember my father-in-law cursing at the news and calling them liars in the 1970s shortly after he got a TV at the ranch. I was young and dumb and thought he was slightly off but as it turns out he was really smart about lying news people.
I rarely watch TV at all, so when I do the propaganda, talking points- brain washing is so obvious I cannot believe everyone doesn’t notice. Many are just happy hearing what they want to hear so I guess the truth or facts don’t matter to them.
FOX News may seem radical right to the left; I don’t watch them either, they go back a forth too much for me to trust them...and no the way they go about it is not just being “fair and balanced” either.
There is no “trusted” source for a “baseline of facts” out there. I dig on my own through several sources to try to find out what is going on. Far more accurate than trusting anyone to just spoon feed it; yet at times it is impossible to track some things. Sometimes the facts trickle out over time.
I do not believe in the name calling like John Hanoi Kerry calling Vietnam veterans baby killers and war criminals then updating the name calling for Afghanistan and Iraq veterans. I do not believe in calling people racists because of skin color or religious beliefs.
I want my country back.
