Iran Nuclear Deal: Trump to Extend Sanctions Waiver - Reports

US President Donald Trump will continue to suspend key sanctions on Iran, and so avoiding jeopardising the 2015 nuclear agreement, US officials say.

But Mr Trump is expected to set a deadline for Congress and European allies to improve the deal or the US will abandon it, the officials say.

He is also likely to impose a new set of sanctions targeting Iranian firms and individuals, a top aide has said.

Mr Trump has strongly criticised the deal, which helped end a long crisis.

European powers say that the accord is vital for international security.

The agreement between six global powers and Iran saw decades of international and US nuclear-related sanctions suspended when Iran agreed to limit its nuclear programme.

The US still maintains separate sanctions on Iran related to matters such as terrorism, human rights and ballistic missile development.

The White House is due to make an official announcement on Friday.

It was probably the worst deal in the history of the planet. Iran got $$$$$ zillions and zillions of $$$ and we got...nothing. And to make it worse, Obama sent Iran an airplane load of $100 bills.

Just as long as we dont go to war with 93 million people. Iran is not the worlds great exporter on terrorism any way . That is Saudi Arabia by far— 9/11 was lierally sponsored by the royal family ( prince Bandar and his lovely wife) in the United States, out of their embassy here, according to the 9/11 commission report until recently hidden from the American People. The Sunni Saudis sponsors pay for and promote AlQaeda , and Isis!! Iran does NOT!!! Iran is Shiite . Shiites hate Sunnis and they kill each other every day over who was the legitimate heir to the dead mohamed.

Iran, in its current form, is a malicious entity threatening many peoples and countries around them. Through their terrorist pals Hezbollah, they directly bring misery and destruction to Lebanon and Syria. They're driving the civil war in Yemen. And all the while, trying to get nukes.

And you want to give them a pass? Not a smart move.
