While the Scandinavian country remains a major exporter of oil and gas, the Norwegian government was among the first to sign on to the landmark Paris climate deal, pledging to meet a 40 percent reduction in carbon emissions by 2030.

Norway is a nation of smug climate hypocrites. Without North Sea oil and gas, which it happily exports at huge profits, its socialist government would collapse. Meanwhile it has tremendous resources for hydroelectric power generation and it limits immigration. With its small population and "clean" power resources it will be easy for it to meet the Paris limits while still enjoying a high standard of living and enjoying a sense of moral superiority over the rest of us.

I'd be dishonest not to mention I'm convinced CO2 has little or no effect on atmospheric warming. It's all a big propaganda campaign as most here know, designed to destroy capitalism and redistribute resources under a UN world government run by unelected tyrannical bureaucrats.

The only reason Norway has any extractable petroleum at all is because the climate was warmer in the past allowing for prolific algae growth.
