Recent cold snap can't be blamed on climate change, study finds

Consider this cold comfort: A quick study of the brutal recent cold snap in Canada and the U.S. found that the Arctic blast really wasn't global warming but a freak of nature.

Frigid weather like the two-week cold spell that began around Christmas is 15 times rarer than it was a century ago, according to a team of international scientists who does real-time analyses to see if extreme weather events are natural or more likely to happen because of climate change.

The cold snap that gripped the East Coast and Midwest regions of the U.S. and much of Central and Eastern Canada was a rarity that bucks the warming trend, said researcher Claudia Tebaldi of the U.S.-based National Center for Atmospheric Research and the private organization Climate Central.

These climate lunatics can't make up their minds... Last week the recent cold snap was because of 'global warming / climate change', this week they have decided that it wasn't caused by 'global warming / climate change'... Obviously, nobody at the Center for Atmospheric Research and Climate Central bothered to check with their guru Al Gore before releasing this completely useless information.

If they can't develop a 'consensus' as to what 'is' and 'isn't' caused by global Warming / climate change, why should anybody trust them all?

I know I certainly don't.

But they must blame all weather changes on anthropogenic global warming. If not, the plan to strip America’s wealth and bring us to our knees is doomed.

So, they will.

The idiocy of trying to blame record cold on global warming makes my head spin.

The best thing about global warming... We are using less coal and oil to produce power and heat our homes, except that isn’t actually happening. Coal and oil use to produce power has actually increased over the past decade... What’s up with that?

If the earth truly is warming, would there not indeed be a decrease in energy consumption? Yet there isn’t... Hmm!

I assume Al Gore likely has an answer for such a conundrum.

Where I live in Central NY State, we’re going to have below zero overnight temps for a couple of days starting Sunday. Daytime temps will only be in the teens, then back up into the 20’s starting next Tuesday. That of course could change.

That's why the same 'Polar Vortex' happened in 2014, because they are sooooo rare.

CO2, or green house gases, (as the term green house implies) cause warming and cooling as we now know. How do we know this? Simple. Climate change dummies, climate change. Don't be flat earthers. Get aboard the socialist climate change train and save the world! Woot woot!
